Established around 1922, the practice consists with technical and managerial staff based in York city centre. Offering a wide range of services associated with alterations, repairs, conversions and extension to historic buildings and the design of new buildings particularly in historic contexts. The practice looks after some 250 churches in the York and surrounding Diocese and are responsible for inspections and advising on repairs, including English Heritage grant-aided works.
