Specialising in all aspects of stained glass and window conservation, Martin
Johnson & Co are a company of experienced craftsmen and women who offer a
comprehensive service of all associated work:
- Conservation and Restoration: The scope of our
conservation work ranges from the repainting of badly damaged glass to the
installation of complete isothermal glazing systems. We work
extensively for conservation bodies such as the National Trust and English
Heritage; larger projects have included complete re-glazing of Blackwell
Arts and Crafts House, Cumbria and Temple Newsam House.
- New Commissions: Working in conjunction with
Yorkshire-based artist Graeme Willson we produce new pieces for both secular
and ecclesiastical settings. Recent projects have included the west
window of St Laurence Rowington; the Dean's Chapel St Mary's Warwick; full
glazing schemes for new Morrison's superstores and many private commissions.
- Metalwork: We are one of the area's leading
manufacturers of high-quality stainless steel window guards, shaped to sit
discreetly within the most intricate stonework. We also fabricate and
fit all associated metalwork including window casements and accompanying
ferramenta.
