Stephen Pickering, Traditional Building Services are a small independent conservation and restoration specialist contracting firm.  We provide practical, conservation and restoration services to listed/period and ancient monuments to include churches and stately homes.

We offer a sympathetic approach to new build projects, working closely with clients to achieve their requirements.  We have a family tradition spanning five generations, working as stonemasons and bricklayers, encompassing all lime works i.e. flat lime plastering, lime washes, lime harling etc. with our workforce being fully qualified, achieving English Heritage Masterclass accreditation.

Our clients past and present include: English Heritage, National Trust, Oxford University, stately homes, parish churches and private clients.
