The York Glaziers' Trust, established in 1967, is responsible for the preservation and conservation of the stained glass of York Minster, which houses one of Europe's largest single collections of medieval glass. The Trust also provides a comprehensive service for the conservation and restoration of stained glass and glazing of historic or artistic importance throughout the UK.

Work is carried out by a team of highly skilled conservators, glass painters and glaziers, who, supported by art-historical and scientific expertise, ensure that problematic and vulnerable glasses are treated accurately and appropriately.

Alongside the Minster glass, the Trust is working on major medieval and 17th century glazing schemes belonging to three Oxford colleges, in addition to smaller commissions from churches, museums and other historic buildings.

Expert advice should always be sought when considering treatment of stained glass - whether due to vandalism or general deterioration. The York Glaziers' Trust welcomes enquiries from all sources and offers a full advisory service.
