Dick Reid awarded OBE



His workshop trained many skilled craftsmen and women to carry on the tradition of fine carving in wood and stone including other members of the Consortium.  Examples of his work can be found in Fairfax House, York; Windsor Castle; Spencer House, London; Althrop and Chatelherault Hunting Lodge in Scotland.

He is Training Co-ordinator and Court Assistant of the Worshipful Company of Masons, formerly a Trustee of the Prince of Wales's Institute of Architecture, Master of the Art Workers' Guild in London 2003 - 4 and a past President of the Master Carvers' Association.  In 2002 Dick was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of York.
