David Everingham, MA (Cons. Fine Art) offers expertise in the conservation and restoration of easel paintings and decorative schemes in churches and historic buildings.

Treatments include cleaning, consolidation of flaking paint, inpainting, repair of structural damage to paintings and decorative schemes in oil, acrylic and tempera on canvas, wood, metal and plaster supports, full technical and scientific examination of paintings; pigment and media analysis, collection surveys and management.

Recent projects include:

  • Conservation of oil-on copper paintings depicting scenes from the life of Mary, and the altarpiece at Bury Parish Church
  • Cleaning of the stations of the cross at St Anne’s Leeds Catholic Cathedral
  • Conservation of paintings for local authority collections throughout the north of England including Harrogate, North East Lincolnshire, Middlesborough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA) + Member of the Institute of Conservation (ICON).
