Reviving Calverley Old Hall

The Landmark Trust is embarking on one of its most complex projects to date – to revive the remarkable medieval survival that is Calverley Old Hall in Calverley, Leeds. This ancient manor, with its colourful history, will become the focus of not only a major conservation project but also of engagement and training opportunities for a wide range of local people.
This exceptional Grade I listed 15th-century great hall and 14th-century solar are awe-inspiring in their scale, derelict and floorless in their condition, and technically and financially challenging as a project. Following an international design competition, a solution has emerged which fuses traditional conservation with contemporary design, which will transform the whole site for new uses, thus securing its future.
Project Manager Linda Lockett and Engagement Manager Kasia Howard will introduce the Landmark Trusts vision for this exciting project.
About the Speakers
As Engagement Manager for the Landmark Trust Kasia organises the activities for a range of programmes including open days and National Lottery Heritage Funded projects, most recently at Llwyn Celyn in Wales and Winsford Cottage Hospital in Devon – both RICS award winning projects. Currently in its Development Phase, Kasia is researching and delivering a range of events at Calverley Old Hall in order to research and develop a programme of training and engagement opportunities.
This event is free to all and you do not need a Zoom account to watch.
